Common Bond Brewers, Montgomery's first production brewer opens its doors Saturday, April 14 at 424 Bibb Street in downtown Montgomery in the former home of Lowe’s Auto Parts. Residents can finally satisfy their curiosity about the project and are invited to stop in and see the transformation that has taken place in the 72-year old building. Common Bond Brewers will be officially opening its doors to the public from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, with regular hours to begin next Thursday, April 19 (Thursday, 4-10p.m.; Fridays & Saturday, noon to 10 p.m.). The taproom is family friendly, with board games inside and corn hole outside and lots of room on its back and front patios for catching-up with friends and neighbors over a pint or a tasting flight. For the grand opening, the brewery will have its flagship four beers—a rye amber, a blonde ale, an IPA and a pale ale—available on tap or to carry out in 32 oz. cans or 64 oz. glass growlers.
