Event Description:

W.J. Lofton is our guest for National Poetry Month in a program co-sponsored by Map360. Lofton is Chicago-born poet and multimodal artist. He writes vivid, accessible poems that channel the energy, urgency, ambitions, joys, and sorrows of a young Black queer artist. They are about love and flirtation, sweet tea and hot sauce, God and family. Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Jericho Brown calls his poetry “enchanting and provocative.” Join us for a reception and festive event celebrating the release of boy maybe on Saturday, March 29 at 5pm.
