Julie Williams with Wings of Opportunity

Join us for a fun National Aviation Month presentation with award-winning historian Julie Hedgepeth Williams. Her book Wings of Opportunity describes a lesser-known chapter of the Wright brothers’ history, which began in 1910 when Wilbur and Orville moved to Montgomery, Alabama to open our nation’s first civilian flight school. Says one reviewer of her book: “Dr. Williams is a masterful storyteller.
