In a continued commitment to American Classical Music, the MSO features the iconic music of George Gershwin in the jazz-inspired symphonic poem which inspired the 1951 film of the same name, An American in Paris. Internationally renowned pianist, Jeffrey Biegel joins us for the Alabama premier of Peter Boyer’s Rhapsody in Red, White, and Blue and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue in celebration of the legendary piece’s centenary.
