Come and experience Montgomery's community theater, the Cloverdale Playhouse!
Noises Off, the fourth show of the 2024 Cloverdale Playhouse Season, opens on Thursday, October 10, and runs through Sunday, October 20. Showtimes are at 7 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and at 2 PM on Sunday.
The Wednesday, October 16, performance does not have tickets available for purchase online. This is one of the Playhouse's Walk-Up Wednesday performances, where a donation of any amount grants you entry to see the show, and all proceeds are donated to a charity. The charity selected for this show is the American Red Cross to assist with hurricane relief efforts.
Called “the funniest farce ever written,” Noises Off presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing’s On. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play.
"The most dexterously realized comedy ever about putting on a comedy. A spectacularly funny, peerless backstage farce. This dizzy, well-known romp is a festival of delirium." - The New York Times
"The funniest farce ever written! Never before has side-splitting taken on a meaning dangerously close to the non-metaphorically medical." - New York Post
