Madiba K. Dennie is our special guest at The NewSouth Bookstore on Sunday, October 13 at 3pm. Her magnificent book, The Originalism Trap: How Extremists Stole the Constitution and How We the People Can Take It Back, offers a devastating critique of the way in which conservatives on the Roberts court have used originalism as an all-out attack on civil rights and social progress, thus undermining the full potential of our U.S. Constitution. Dennie is a legal scholar, whose commentary has been featured in The Atlantic and The Washington Post, on MSNBC, and elsewhere; she is deputy editor and senior contributor for Balls and Strikes.
