Throwing For Veterans
Event Description:
Approximately 44 Veterans commit suicide every day
Sweetpea Homes, Inc is having a fundraiser to raise awareness of Veteran suicide with the help of Mr. Michael Moseley aka Mr. 7000 in which he will throw 15,000 pitches in less than 24 hours breaking his own Guinness Book World Record for throwing live Batting Practice Pitches.
This event will involve the baseball community ranging from Little Leagues to the Big Leagues.
We are also honoring the Veterans during this event with a presentation about Veteran suicide in which we will bring light to this problem and we will inform them of the local organizations that provide resources that include housing for homeless vets, job training, and mental Health services.
These organizations will also receive proceeds from this event.
