GEAR UP Achieve Montgomery Summer Camp will be held from July 21-25, 2025. This program aims to provide transformative aviation experiences, aviation career exploration, and hands-on STEM exposure for the rising 9th-grade students of Montgomery Public Schools.

The camp, presented by Auburn University’s Gear Up Achieve program and The Eagle Institute, will offer a variety of activities, including flying with certified flight instructors, learning the basics of flight, exploring aircraft building careers at Alabama Flight Works, designing model planes, touring aerospace museums, practicing in flight simulators, visiting flight control towers, and engaging with Air Force mentors. The camp will be held at The Eagle Institute Kress Building, with field trips to Alabama Flight Works, Tuskegee University, Tuskegee Airmen Museum, and Dannely Field.

We believe that this program will greatly benefit the youth in our community by inspiring them to pursue careers in aviation and STEM fields.
